AJUTA-NE

In Summer, 2018 we created the Harom Galamb Association (Three Doves), registered in Romania. In Spring, 2020 the Harom Galamb Scotland SCIO was registered in Scotland, a charity with the purpose of supporting our project with fundraising and expertise.

Our first major sponsor, Csiga Biga Foundation, bought the land and donated a 7540 m2 garden in the quiet and sheltered village of Porumbenii Mici, in the Harghita County of Transylvania.

Other sponsors have been/are:

  • Michael Stiftung (€70.000) for laying the foundations for the new-build day centre and making the Kantorlak comply with license requirements, a building offered by the local church free of charge for running our activities until our own building is ready.

  • Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs (Ministerul Muncii si Solidaritatii Sociale) (€400.000) as a major contributor to the funding of the new day centre

  • SAGST AG (€120.000) monies to complete the costs needed for the new-build day centre.

  • The Camphill Social Fund (£7.400) for the purchase and build of a garden shed/greenhouse. (See photo above)

  • The Camphill Foundation (GB and NI) (£20.000) for the purchase of people carriers for use by beneficiaries of the day centre.

  • Michael Stiftung (€20.000) for bridging revenue funds until per capita council payments for beneficiaries were made

  • The Duff Trust providing an annual sponsorship

  • Loch Arthur Camphill Community (£7.800) for bridging revenue funds

  • A host of individual contributions

In Romania

  • Run for it (Fuss NEKI) fundraising events (3 years)

  • Campaign For People to donate 3.5% of income tax

  • Company sponsorships by redirecting their profit tax

  • Advent markets, where produce of Harom Galamb (made by beneficiaries, staff and parents) is sold

  • Private donations.

We welcome visits of potential sponsors to experience the magic of Asociatia Harom Galamb. When Malcolm Duff (The Duff Trust) visited in the summer of 2023, this is what he said: Harom Galamb focuses on the needs of some of the most marginalised people in the region seeking to encourage their gifts and talents and helping to equip them for useful and fulfilling lives in the community. It is a remarkable project with visionary leadership.

After Wilfried Schneider (Michael-Stiftung) visited, he wrote: The sympathetic approach to your clients and the way you respond to their individual possibilities and limitations convinced me that your project is an outstanding example in your region. Your view of the human being focuses on the personality of the disabled person as a whole. It encourages them and offers meaningful work ...which strengthens their self-confidence and gives them a sense of fulfilment. You enrich the everyday lives of your clients. Harom Galamb is an excellent example of inclusion and participation. It was a great pleasure for me to support this from the Michael Foundation.
